The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the health insurance landscape,
influencing various aspects of the industry. This abstract provides a concise overview of the
effects of COVID-19 on health insurance.
1. Increased Health Insurance Claims: The surge in COVID-19 cases resulted in a significant
rise in health insurance claims. Insurers faced unprecedented challenges in processing and

patients.
